Momos are a type of Tibetan dumpling that has become popular in Nepal and India. They are typically made with wheat flour dough and filled with meat or vegetables. Momos were originally thought to have been brought to Tibet by Nepalese traders. The history of momos is thought to date back to the 15th century when they were first mentioned in a Tibetan text. However, it is possible that they were being made long before this time. Momos became a popular street food in Tibet and Nepal, and have now spread to other parts of Asia and the West. Making momos is a labor-intensive process, but it is well worth the effort! The dough must be rolled out thinly and carefully, then filled with the desired filling. The momos are then steamed or fried, and served hot with dipping sauces.
